 • Eclipse crashes when loading a document

I have installed the OIEP v2.0.7 plugin, but when I try to create a new document, Eclipse craches.

I have Ubuntu Linux 6.06, which is a Linux Distribution (www.ubuntulinux.com) which comes with Linux Kernel 2.6.15 and OpenOffice.org 2.0.2.

I can use OpenOffice.org without any problems. At the beginning I supposed it was a binary compatilibity problem, but as the plugin is Java only, this could not be the cause.

The only weird thing that I found is that OpenOffice is installed in:
/usr/lib/openoffice/
While the java libraries are installed in:
/usr/share/java/openoffice/
The plugin correctly detects OpenOffice at its /usr/lib location.

Does anybody have an idea of why Eclipse is crashing?

Thanks,
Rivas

Hello,

please consider that NOA4e 2.0.7 needs OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 in order to work properly.

I think the problem is the splitted OpenOffice.org installation. NOA4e expects the OpenOffice.org java libraries in the same directory as the normal OpenOffice.org installation. Which files do you find in the directory /usr/share/java/openoffice?

Maybe you can fix your problem with a "normal" OpenOffice.org installation fetched from www.openoffice.org.

Please file an issue that NOA4e should support a splitted OpenOffice.org installation.

Thank you.

Best regards
