 • OfficeEditor not responsive for keyboard events on Linux+Gnome

Hello Markus,

thank you for providing these excellent plugins!
Unfortunately, I have a problem running the OpenOffice editor under Linux (with Gnome or Xfce):
When opening an odt-file, OpenOffice seems to be unresponsive for keyboard-events.
My first guess was that the file would just open in read only-mode, but then I discovered that all mouse-based editing operations (eg. copy and paste via the context menus) are working fine.
Another thing worth mentioning is that the cursor is not blinking when clicking into the text.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.1 desktop (with the default gnome installation), OpenOffice 2.4.0 (which I downloaded and installed separately, without using the default packages provided by ubuntu) and eclipse europa 3.3.2.

Under Linux with KDE or under windows, everythin is working fine.

Any clues?

Thanks a lot,
Martin
